It is once again time to start thinking about those New Year’s Resolutions. When it comes to looking after your hair, there is always more we can do to make sure it is in the very best condition. Read these New Year's hair resolutions...
Take more time to style
Even if your hair style is low maintenance it is important to take some time now and again to do something different or special with it. You don't even need to wait for an event or special occasion, just enjoy treating yourself to some me time and a make-over. Get dressed up and put some make-up on too. Aim to do this at least once a month.
Deep condition often
Yes, it can be annoying and sometimes time consuming, but really we all know how much better our hair is for it. The winter months especially take a lot out of our hair. A deep condition will replenish the moisture lost as a result of the cold and central heating. What's more, the compliments you will receive will be well worth the few minutes it takes, even if your time is really stretched.
Accessorise more
Time to try out a new look by adding accessories. Try
synthetic hair pieces, a pretty flower clip or a sparkly headband. There are so many hair accessories out there to choose from. Experiment a little by opting for something you wouldn't usually buy and wait for the compliments to come your way.
Replace those ancient styling tools
Hair curling tongs and rollers can't last forever and as they age they can become less effective. One way to tell if it’s time for a change is if they start to tie longer to heat or overheat too easily. If they start to smell it is also time to throw them away and choose some more.
Accept compliments graciously
Finally, and after all that, when people compliment you on your appearance, don't forget to thank them and smile!
