Boxer Braids have been the style of ease for a while now, easy to create in a rush and a totally versatile style these braids are perfect for any occasion whether it be a session in the gym or a night out with friends at the weekend. Great for adding in a pop of color for festivals, great for avoiding the grotty showers and keeping your style sleek for 3 days in a row. Parties and barbecues are a breeze this summer, boxer braids are the style to go for! Boxer braids or also called dutch braids have been around for a long time, they're frequently worn by the black community but with the rise of celebrity appearances sporting box braids they're on the radar now more than ever. Here you will learn how to create this style in just 4 easy steps; This will work  best on day old or greasy hair, it's easier to grip and creates a smoother look. If your hair is clean, try adding some product or dry shampoo.

Step 1 Part your hair into a center parting all the way to the nape of your neck. Secure one side in a loose ponytail out of the way and brush the other out ready to plait.

Step 2 starting on your preferred side, split a section of hair at the very front into three and begin to plait like you would a regular plait. Remember to only start the plait as we are going to be adding more hair to each side with every step. Continue to plait, every time you take a section from either the right or left, add in a section of the loose hair at the side, gradually braiding all the way down to the nape of the neck.
