2012 Festival Hair

Whether you go to a festival to chill out, take in some good music or to just have a laugh with your friends, here at Pauls Hair World we love to go to festivals simply to keep ourselves updated on all of the latest festival hair trends (okay, we admit we do like to chill with a cider and listen to some good tunes too!) Despite the fact that festivals can usually play trauma on any hairstyle (mud, rain and lack of running water is never fun), festivals still remain to be a showcase of the hottest hairstyle trends that will see you right through until the end of summer. Here’s a rundown of this year’s key festival hair crazes: Dip Dye Dip dye, ombre, faded – call it what you like! The dip dye trend is showing no signs of slowing down this year. A popular festival look at this year’s V Festival, girls have been rocking the dip dye look with waist length hair in cool contrasting shades such as blonde tips on dark brunette locks or even adding vibrant pink and blue tips to their hair. While adding bleach to your hair can require quite a lot of dedication and maintenance, one way of effortlessly pulling off the dip dye trend (without damaging your hair’s colour) is to choose dip dye clip in extensions instead. At Pauls Hair World we offer dip dye extensions in a whole variety of colours – making it easy to give your hair a quick festival inspired look whenever you fancy it! The Classic Bun and All Buns While many may associate festivals with grunge and loose locks, one top trend sweeping the festival circuit this year is the classic bun. A neat and tidy bun is an ideal festival hairstyle, not only does it keep the hair from flying in your face while you’re rocking out to your favourite band, it also keeps your hair tidy for the entire festival. Adding a bun hair piece will keep your hairstyle well-presented all weekend. Choose a messy beehive or a chic chignon, or create your own bun by styling your hair into a bun doughnut ring. Beach Waves Finally, one hair trend that seems to occur every festival season is beach waves. Nothing says laid-back hippy chic quite like beach waves. This year has seen the festival style set accessorising their wavy beach hair with flowers, clips, and headbands to create that cool rock ‘n’ roll vibe. Creating beach waves couldn't be easier, simply curl long hair extensions into place using a curling wand and apply hair spray. Once you have curled your entire head, brush out the curls to create a relaxed wave. Make sure to keep the volume of your waves firmly in tact by regularly spraying them with dry shampoo – a beauty bag essential for any festival! Waves, dip dye, buns, there are countless ways of giving your hair a festival update. How will you be rocking festival hair this year? Why not let us know what you're planning
